10.10.2024 - 12.11.2024 / The Heritage Left Behind | Photography Exhibition

There are many architectural monuments in Belarus, which, unfortunately, are in a neglected state. These ruins bear witness to historical events and purportedly send out a silent cry for the preservation of their memory and historical significance. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to see and understand their beauty, place in history and importance to our culture.

You will be able to see the works of photographers Anna Naydzenava and Arina Vorsina, who, as part of the “Sleeping Heritage” project, explore and depict the beauty and tragedy of abandoned estates and churches throughout Belarus.

Through their photographs, the authors convey not only the architectural details of the buildings, but also their spirit, the atmosphere of the time when they were centers of life and culture.

Each photograph is a story that demands attention, forcing the viewer to reflect on the fragility of time and the value of preserving our heritage.

The “Sleeping Heritage” project began its activities in 2022. During this time, the authors visited 26 places throughout Belarus, telling their stories in photos and videos. More than 12,000 people have subscribed to the project page.
